Woodland Skills and Forestry Area

Back by popular demand, we focus again on this aspect of land management which is so important in the South East.

Attractions and demonstrations to watch out for:

Alun and Ben Scott - father and son duo, will be showcasing their Woodmizer planking saw throughout the day in the Forestry Area so do take time to visit this area to have a look!

​

Andrews Chesson - will have hand crafted garden furniture and green woodwork for sale as he demonstrates his handcrafting skills in the Forestry Area throughout the day. 

​

Les Langley - based near Harrietsham, will be displaying his chainsaw carving skills where he creates a variety of products including traditional chainsaw carvings, hand engraved signs, bowls and platters, as well as benches and garden tables. Don't forget - he is able to commission carvings at the event while you watch so visit the Forestry Area to see him in action.

Jon Davies and Dave Holmes from South East Forestry, based in East Sussex, together with Richard Curteis from Aspen Tree Services, based in Boughton Monchelsea in Maidstone, will both showcase their impressive range of forestry equipment, with examples of machinery used in tree harvesting and processing in the Main Ring at 3pm!
