FAQ

Can I take my dog if I am not competing?


Well behaved 4 legged friends are allowed on a lead. Please clear up any mess with your own disposal bags and place them in the bins provided. Some stall holders may have dog water bowls but please ensure you have plenty of water with you to keep them hydrated.

Is there parking?


Yes there is plenty of free car parking and tractors will be available to help tow you out in the event of bad weather (but you may have to wait your turn!)

Is there a disabled parking area?


Every site is different, but we allocated a disabled parking area as close to the main entrance as possible

How much are tickets?


Adult tickets are £8.50 online, and £10.00 on the gate. Children under 12 years of age may attend free of charge. Unfortunately there are no concessions for senior citizens or students. 

Are there any free tractor rides or transport around the site?


There will be hop on hop off tractor & trailer to help you explore and move around the site and see attractions a bit further away

Are there hard standing areas and paths to move around the site?


There is no hard standing and all fields will be left to stubble following harvest which can be uneven

Are there toilets?


There will be portaloo toilets placed all over the site for convenience. There will also be a wheelchair accessible disabled toilet on site in the main trade area.

How can I enter the horse show/gymkhana?


The schedule is under the horses menu and you can enter on the day. Please note, the competition will be on stubble. Click Here

Is there first aid on site?


St John’s Ambulance will be in the main trade area

Can the general public leave vehicles overnight?


Unfortunately no public vehicles can be left on the site overnight.

Will there be a cash machine?


There will not be a cash machine on site so we recommend you bring enough with you for the day, although some stallholders may accept card payments

What time does it start?


The ploughing starts and you can access the site from 08:00. The main arena attractions start at 09:30 am.

Can we take our own picnic?


Yes of course, but please ensure you take all your rubbish home with you.

Is there a bar at the Ploughing Match?


Yes there is a bar by the public catering with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Can I camp overnight at the Ploughing Match?


Unfortunately no camping overnight is permitted. It may be permitted for certain exhibitors or trades by special negotiation- please contact the secretary.
